These gifts include a major contribution to the establishment of the Observatory at EastLake High School. In 2005, the Foundation awarded $161,000 to support programs in our schools. Schools benefiting from gifts to the EEF include: EastLake High, EastLake Middle, EastLake Elementary, Olympic View Elementary, Arroyo Vista Elementary School and Salt Creek Elementary School. One-hundred percent of donations received stay in the community. At Eastlake High School we have a variety of award winning sports, visual performing arts, academics, and robotics programs. The Gonzalez Sports Academy - The Gonzalez Sports Academy was established to educate and empower coaches, athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all levels to achieve their sports performance and conditioning goals. GSA is a state of the art multi-training sports facility. This 29,000 square foot community based complex is dedicated to strength and conditioning, speed and agility, baseball, softball and football skill development, boxing conditioning and club volleyball. Facility highlights include: Four batting cages with Iron Mike pitching machines for baseball and softball Two dirt pitching mounds with bullpen Sixty yard indoor turf track with laser timer system Four thousand square foot turf area for speed and agility Thirty foot concrete wall for medicine ball work Free weights, six Olympic platforms, bumper plates, functional cable trainer, plyo boxes, hurdles, bands, chains, glute/ham machines, slide boards, pushing/pulling dragging sleds, four heavy bags, speed bags Three full sized sport court volley ball courts Pro Shop and Juice Bar
